We have planed 12 days for the trip, camping for 5 nights and lodges for the rest.
I wont be doing the trip in my syncroSad but rather in my Isuzu . Not because I don't want to but rather because we will be traveling solo for 50% of the time.
Hi Bruce
I hope the fuel is less than yours, I have budgeted between 5 and 7. I get a average of 9.3L/100km with a/c but that's without the roof top tent.

Xavier
Thanks for the info. You do not have faith in your syncro? Blasphemy!!!Angel

Hi All coming on the trip,

i have made one small change, i did not want to mention this before all no's were confirmed,

i managed to get 2x nights at Tweerivieren in Kgalagadi, for the 27/28 camping. so we will take the 2 days from Pilanesberg and use them .

i could not try to book not knowing what the numbers were going to be. Luckily they had sites open,

Booked and paid for, so we are in, this will be the high light of the trip, always good lion sightings in the park.

i will alter the route on the first page

Hi All

booking have been made, for all the camps.

we had to Cancel Pilanesburg, due to the long weekend, they want a Min of 2 nights booking, with 3 nights having preference.
please check first post, it has been ammended

found a really nice place just outside Rustenburg, called Mountain Sanctuary Park, they did me a special favor for a one nighter.

we now just need to confirm a date and time for the pre trip meeting.

i suggest our house in PTA as most know where it is, and we have a lapa and pool, we can do a sunday Lunchtime Braai, some time in March, my suggestion would be for 10:30 am for 11 am meeting, and then a bring and braai, on Sunday 15 March 2015.

i will supply fires, you just bring food, drinks, plates etc and chairs

please let me know if anyone cannot make certain dates so we can the date if needed to another date,

thanks stuart

will contact the owners to confirm the security is sorted or get a refund and find another place, that said same happens in pilanesberg.

Contacted the owners, only a few incidents on the farm in the last few years, they caught the perpetrators,

Typical SA attitude from The 4x4 community Forum. one incident and the place is a no go area, you have more chance of being robbed at home than while camping, personally i think they should post on the forum every time they are robbed at home too, then they wont go home either.
