Extra Virgin
Hi guys

My name is Roelof and I am an extra virgin Syncro owner because...

It’s my first bus...
It’s my first 4x4...
It’s my first Syncro!

The existence of these machines has remained unknown to me until a couple of months ago when I saw one at a friend’s house. Well, if you want to get technical, I’ve been googling Syncros and I saw that TV ad with David Kramer from way back when. And I recognised the ad, so technically I have been made aware!

These are such unique vehicles and I have only heard good things about them. I bought my Syncro from Johan du Plooy and immediately gave it to Mr Syncromad to fix up. He also took me for a ride in the Thingcro and I couldn’t believe what he was doing with that thing! Awesome fun!

My wife and I had our first baby 5 months ago, a boy! We mainly wanted the bus for camping and fishing. But I can already see it’s going to be great just playing with it! In my Corsa 1.7 TD car I have had to turn away from (and be pulled from) some good looking fishing spots next to the wild coast. Hopefully this will change soon. I also love bass fishing and will be looking for some seriously out-of-the-way spots inland. My other interests are coding (I’m a software developer) and reading. My wife loves the outdoors as well. We also have two boerboels who go on holiday with us when we can find pet friendly places.

I hope to learn lots from all the experienced members here on the forum. Thanks in advance!

Calling fishing a hobby is like calling brain surgery a job.

Welcome Roelof,

Wishing youand the family all the best with the new "Toy". Playing with your bus is about as much fun you can have with your clothes on...  My three dogs, a 85kg Greatdane/bull mastiff male, 55kg Neopolitan mastiff female and a 36kg Rhodesian ridgeback female just love riding around in the Syncro. With the middle seat out, there is more than enough space for all three to stretch out. Big Grin Big Grin

Re: Extra Virgin
Welcome Roelof,
The ability, space and convenience of the Syncro to take you and your family on adventures to remote spots is what got most of us hooked..
Not to forget the odd "go-and-play-somewhere with the boys" !
Whereabouts in Pretoria are you?
E.

It's not just a 4x4, it's a Syncro........

Re: Extra Virgin
Welcome Roelof. Bought my bus specifically to get to remote fishing spots - trout / bass / yellows. Goes everywhere - Lesotho / NE Cape - works well. These vehicles come with a character of their own which no other can replicate. Have fun and enjoy. Tight lines. Cheers Hugh
