REAR DRUM CYLINDER KIT
I started replacing the shoes and then when replacing the cylinder kit, the dust covers weren't size, too small in diameter and wasn't posiable to get them over the cylinder. I went back and asked for the 5cylinder kit, it was the same part number. Eventually had them look for something with the same diameter, and found the Isuzu kit that is same diameter, although it is a little less rubber then the vw part. It still not to my liking, what is the actual partkit for the syncro brake cylinder?

Re: REAR DRUM CYLINDER KIT
bennie i think you have 16" rear brakes coz you have the same tank as my 2.5 in your bus
can you take a pic of the rear swing arms from the side of the bus so i can see if they are 16"

Re: REAR DRUM CYLINDER KIT
I'll do that Dean, even now with the new cylinder fitted and new shoes, there is even bigger issues. The new shoes have so much space left that the pins popped out and the whole process was an useless excercise. I'll take pics, now let me go and get my Beach Buggy Big Grin .........

Re: REAR DRUM CYLINDER KIT
Swing arms of the Syncro, looks standard AFAIK, what you say Dean?

Spoke with Russel this afternoon, my back plate is attached via allen key bolts, thus it is a set of (imported) bigger drums of the 60" LT Syncro's, that why everybody keeps selling me the wrong parts. Need to replace all with oe drum parts..... :x
