What do our members do when they not driving their Syncro's
Thought this would be a good thread to have so we know what line of business we are all in so we can support each other

I study mechanical engineering at UJ and when I'm not there I work for my father at Ace Auto Scrapyard selling microbus and syncro spares.
When I'm not doing either of those I'm driving my syncro Smile

2.6i Syncro Doka 1984
2.5i SSA PlayBus Syncro 1989
2.5i Factory 5 Cylinder Syncro 1991
2.0i Cox Camper Syncro 1989
2.0i Big Window Syncro 1992
2.6i 2WD Doka 1986
1.9TDI Golf Syncro 1991

"If you dont think syncro's are cool, then you better check your pulse"

I am a pimp at a brothel , and have to deliver to my clients in the country, sometimes way off-road, therefore I need a 4x4 bus with bed facility's in it (for the clients obvious)

Re: What do our members do when they not driving their Syncr
I clean brake dust off the inside of wheels!

Well apart from that, I mow grass, clean swimming pools X 2 because I have to do my mother's as well. I play with my dog, Jared, who is young and has boundless energy. He LOVES going in the Doka and we plan on going camping as soon as the issues are all sorted out.

I collect aviation art and scale models, restore cars, spend too much time on the internet, have written articles for Wikipedia (but have given that up because it's too annoying to continue), do photography, play the keyboard (well I try) and persue an interest in aviation. I also collect obsure films that may have meant something to me many years ago or that cover a topic in which I have an interest. I enjoy watching surfing and sailing DVDs, I watch most of what is on Ignition Channel 265 every weekend. I enjoy cycling events such as the Tour de France and sit glued to the TV for three weeks while that is on.

As for work, well I sell access control equipment, gate motors, intercoms, garage door operators, remote controls, electric locks, traffic barriers, dabble in house alarms and do a little CCTV. I don't install the stuff, I just sell it. Occasionally I will do a call out, but often regret it, because things are almost never as simple as they seem.

Oh and I have to prepare food daily, which is what I have to go and do now!

Re: What do our members do when they not driving their Syncr
When I'm not driving my syncro,I'm underneath it,fixing it.
When I can't fix it,it becomes a stress ball, the ones you squeeze to take the anger out of you, that adds some dings to it though...

When I'm at home,I don't take care of my girlfriend,I'd rather watch syncro porn online.

I have a nice little Jack Russell that I use to surf with, but it was too delicious,I had to cook it over a bonfire last time I went camping with the syncro Smile

I love surfing, but I have no more boards in goodshape, since I used the last one as a sand board to get out of a trap with my syncro.

I'm also installing solar panels, photovoltaic, hot water and solar air conditionning, all transported by my Transporter syncro of course.

I'm still looking for a weekly Syncroaholic Anonymous session ,I hope I just found it,I'm in need for a good cure.

But I'm happy with my solar job,way better,I hate the way it's plumbed here, looks like tree houses,or middle age shacks.... still with tin soldering....

Enjoy the gassers Wink

Re: What do our members do when they not driving their Syncr
I have not had much time to enjoy my recent syncro purchase as I have been busy working away from home, but the nature of my work will allow me some valuable time off with my family and the syncro at the end of the year.
CAN'T WAIT
For work, the bottom of the ocean is my stomping ground. I live at depths of up to 400m of sea water for a month at a time. In a tiny place called a chamber. They let us out to play (work) via a thing called a bell which takes us to the ocean floor, where we get out and play Lego for big boys!!!
I am a saturation diver.... We build oil fields.
