Fuel Gauge 1988 Microbus
This gauge moves too much for my liking ..when accelerating it shows fuller, when braking, it moves again back to the empty side.
It moves easily 1/4 tank when this happens.

Is this normal?

Accelerate and brake slower. That should fix it. Big Grin

The voltage regulator on the older buses and Beetles was there to prevent fluctuations like that. Don't know if the T3 s are the same. Maybe something to check.

There is a fuel damper relay in big window bus's which stops that happening, maybe yours is missing

2.6i Syncro Doka 1984
2.5i SSA PlayBus Syncro 1989
2.5i Factory 5 Cylinder Syncro 1991

2.0i Big Window Syncro 1992
2.6i 2WD Doka 1986

Usually sits in the top row of the fuse box, I think it is relay 191 and on the side it's written fuel damper
